Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my company need an audit of our telecom services? Everything seems to be in order.
Since our inception in 2001, Communication Auditors has identified cost reductions in over 80% of performed audits. The vast majority of these clients were unaware of any issues in their respective carrier accounts. With the proliferation of telecom services used by today's businesses, carrier invoices have become more difficult to monitor effectively. Communication Auditors' experienced industry professionals know how to identify and eliminate costly billing errors and overcharges from our clients' invoices.
Doesn't our IT Department already do this?
Most of our clients have IT departments that do an excellent job utilizing technology to meet the needs of their respective organizations. Communication Auditors operates, unless otherwise instructed by our clients, under the assumption that the existing technology is the proper technical solution for our clients. We analyze the financial aspects of these existing telecom services. The audit is designed to ensure that the carriers are providing accurate and competitive invoices to our clients.
The audit reviews billing structure; not technical infrastructure. Our financial auditing services compliment the technical expertise of our clients' IT departments.
How much will an audit cost my company?
An audit from Communication Auditors can only save you money. Since we work on a contingency basis, we receive no payment until your company realizes credits or reduced expenses on the invoice from your carrier. We receive a percentage of any recovered payments or expense reductions to your communication services. If Communication Auditors is unsuccessful in obtaining credits or realized savings for your company, our services are free. There is absolutely no risk to you.
What will I have to do? I do not have a lot of time to invest into this.
In order to audit your services, we conduct an initial meeting with you to get an understanding of your current services and configuration. This usually takes about 20 minutes. Communication Auditors will then obtain access to at least 2 months telecom bills. Most of these records are available online. The audit is conducted off site at our headquarters in Colorado. Once the audit is completed, we present the findings. This meeting typically lasts 30 minutes to one hour. That is the extent of our clients' time investment.
How long will the audit take?
After our initial meeting with your company, Communication Auditors should have your results in 3 to 6 weeks.
What's the Catch?
There is no catch. If we do not save your company money, there is no fee. Based on the fact that 80% of our audits have resulted in savings for our clients, Communication Auditors is confident that our services will have a positive financial impact for most companies.
